Felci Glass spiral chandelier – 83 clear glasses

A Murano spiral chandelier carrying 83 clear glass elements in the felci form, named for the fern leaf it takes its shape from. The spiral arrangement means the piece reads differently from every angle. An original period piece, hand assembled. Shown in Al Quoz, Dubai.

Felci means ferns. Each element is a blown glass leaf, shaped at the furnace and layered over the frame so the whole piece reads as foliage. No two leaves sit at quite the same angle, which is how you tell hand work from a mould. This one carries 83 glass leaves. Clear glass lets the shape of the elements do the work. In our Al Quoz showroom in Dubai, where you can see how the glass behaves in real light before you decide.
