Vintage Murano chandelier made by 86 Murano crystal transparent prism in a nickel metal frame.

Quadriedri are four sided prisms, blown individually and then hung so that every edge catches the light. The density is the point: this works as a field of refraction rather than as a single source. This one carries 86 prisms. Clear glass keeps the frame almost weightless and the light bright rather than tinted.
